Introduction

  • These pages are:

    • intended to cover download, installation and maintenance issues for our software,

    • written mainly for the use of systems managers and software installers rather than normal users.

  • This particular set of pages are "Generic" and supplied as files with the software as:

$BDG_home/docs/installation/index.html
Tip The Generic page does not have a download section and the initial installation section has been removed (because to see the page you must have downloaded and done the initial install).

Licence conditions

Please note this version of BUSTER is for academic users and its download, installation and use is conditional on acceptance of the licence conditions. Please carefully review these licence conditions before download, installation or use.

    • Follow the instructions provided for the closest OS distro listed above - many Linux distributions are largely based on one of the above. For example, for Scientific Linux 7, follow the instructions for CentOS/RHEL 7. For Linux Mint 18.x, follow the Ubuntu 16.04 instructions.

    • If you are running a 64-bit Linux distribution that none of the above instructions are suitable for, please let us know and we will endeavour to provide specific instructions.
[Note: we are unable to provide support for OS versions that have gone "End-of-Life" and/or are no longer supported by the OS provider.]
