[sharp-discuss] problems in running autoSHARP

Hi Huanwang,

since you get an error at this particular step I don't think it's a
problem with the licensing code (this would hit you already
earlier). I'm not quite sure what you mean by 'error without further
explainations': usually, autoSHARP should point you to a logfile with
(potentially) useful information.

Could you do the following:

  - go to the sharpfiles/logfiles/WHATEVER.INTEGER directory that was
created for this test run. This directory should contain the main
    LISTautoSHARP.html file

  - have a look at the following files:

LISTautoSHARP.html (the main autoSHARP log file)
SHARP_INIT/LISTautoSHARP.html (the autoSHARP logfile for this
                                   first SHARP run)
    LIST.html (the SHARP logfile)

  - also, do a

      % ls -ltra

to see what the last written file(s) are.

You should also look into $BDG_home/sushi/logs/error_log - which might
contain any additional error messages coming from the SHARP server.

Some final thoughts:

 - are you running any kind of 'unusual' automounter (that might make
directories 'disappear' half way through the job)?

 - did you use the supplied IF3-C.0 autoSHARP input file? Did you
   change anything in there?

 - which CCP4 version are you using? 4.1.1 is supported and 4.2
_should_ work too (although I'm still in the progress to fix a few
   incompatibilities)

Hope that helps. If not: could you send us a few more information?

Cheers

Clemens
