[buster-discuss] Which Version of CCP4 does Buster Use?

Dear Aaron,

yes ... this is (still, embarassingly) correct.

Also: your MTZ files should be in CCP4 4.2.2 'format' (i.e. the
header). You could use the attached script for doing this:

A) converting into CCP4 4.2.2 format:

  1. going into a clean environment (no CCP4 setup):

     % /bin/tcsh -f

  2. setting up CCP4 4.2.2

     % source /where/ever/ccp4-4.2.2/include/ccp4.setup

  3. 'converting' your post-(CCP4-4.2.2) MTZ file

     % /where/ever/mtz2mtz.sh some.mtz some_422.mtz

B) converting from 4.2.2 format:

  1. 'converting' your CCP4-4.2.2 MTZ file into the current CCP4
     version:

     % /where/ever/mtz2mtz.sh from_buster.mtz from_buster_current.mtz

All that script will do is to make sure the space-group name is given
correctly (as P212121 in CCP4-4.2.2 and as 'P 21 21 21' in newer CCP4
versions).

Cheers

Clemens
