yes, that is correct.

unfortunately not for the moment. 


You should be able to link your way out of this:

#(root): ln -s "/Volumes/Macintosh HD" /disk2

and reference the data via '/disk2/Xtal/HSP47/...'.


This obviously assumes the link point '/disk2' does not already exist.
