Dear Mario,

the first error ("Submission impossible") most likely points to an
unfinished installation. The installation (SERVER) doesn't know any
machine (MASTER) that can run SHARP.

Remember to follow the installation instructions at

  http://www.globalphasing.com/sharp/installation/index.html

  1. If you followed the "Quick installation" at

     http://www.globalphasing.com/sharp/installation/index.html#quick

it is possible that you forgot step 10 (adding MASTERs). Just
     redo this step:

      % cd /where/ever/sharp
      % source ./setup.csh
      % adm/bin/newmachine <machine name>

and check that after this step there is a file

       $BDG_home/machines/<machine name>/sharp.dat

  2. If you did run the newmachine step (or you used the installation
     instructions at

     http://www.globalphasing.com/sharp/installation/index.html#quicker

or the '-F' flag to the installSHARP command: check that there is
     a $BDG_home/machines/<machine name>/sharp.dat file. Remember to
use the 'correct' hostname (i.e. what "hostname -s" returns)
whenever you use the newmachine command.

About the second error: whenever you select a MTZ file in the SHARP
SIN file editor the interface dumps the header of this file into
sharpfiles/datafiles/whatever.data.mtzlog. All information is then
read from this file (instead of reading the larger MTZ file each
time). So I guess that this *.data.mtzlog file

  - doesn't exist
  - is corrupted
  - contains wrong information

If it exists: have a look at its contents (and also check
              $BDG_home/sushi/logs/error_log for additional error
              mesages).

If it doesn't exist: does the httpd has write permissions in your
sharpfiles/datafiles directory? Remember that everything runs under
the same user/group ID as the httpd server process - so your
permissions for all directories inside the sharpfiles directory
structure need to be

0700 - if you're running the httpd under your own account

0770 - if you're running the httpd under a different account that is
in the same UNIX group as you

0777 - if you're running the httpd under a different account that is
in a different UNIX group as you

All this should have been done automatically when you issued the
'useSHARP' command noce a user ID was created.

Hope that helps

Cheers

Clemens
