did you replace or prepend the old licence file with the new one?

Perhaps the licence file got mangled.

You can send the output of:

/sbin/ifconfig
cd /where/sharp/is/installed
head -n 99 .licence
md5sum .licence
===

to sharp-develop at globalphasing.com for further checking.
