Dear SHARP/autoSHARP user,

a new SHARP/autoSHARP production version is now
available on our webserver (SHARP 2.0.4 and Sushi
3.2.3) at

  http://www.globalphasing.com/sharp/

Some of the highlights are:

Apple/Mac OsX version available: tested under
10.2.8 on a G4 Powerbook - with the Firefox browser.

Linux/ia64 (Itanium) version: tested under RH 2.1AS

Fully compatible with CCP4 5.0.2 (this is now
the recommended CCP4 version).

NOTE: due to an error in the official CCP4 5.0.X
MTZ library, the DM program behaves wrongly and
therefore can't be used in the preferred way
within SHARP/autoSHARP. A patched version of CCP4
5.0.2 (with some additional fixes not in the
official CCP4 5.0.X tree) can be found at

http://www.globalphasing.com/people/vonrhein/ccp4/

A lot of fixes and improvements throughout the
whole SHARP/autoSHARP program. This should make it
easier for beginners to understand what is going
on (more analysis and hopefully better
explanations). Also, several fixes/improvements in
the heavy atom detection, the automatic analysis
of residual maps, automatic building with ARP/wARP ...

  Updated documentation, including some new
tutorials and getting-started type of guides.

For installation instructions as well as update
notes, please read the release notes (available
from the download page) as well as the various
documentations on our WWW page.

Kind regards,
