Correct.

Yes - because that way of starting CCP4i (via Icon) will possibly not
pick up things in your ~/.profile. I don't know how CCP4i is being
started through that icon myself - maybe CCP4 can help so that you
know where you want to add that

  . /Users/mark/sharp-2.8/setup.sh

(or 'source') line.

It is looking for the value of SHARP_home that should point (in your
case) to /Users/mark/sharp-2.8:

  export SHARP_home=/Users/mark/sharp-2.8
  ccp4i
